Our Benefits package is unequaled within the industry! We offer . . .

health insurance
Komet of America provides and generously pays 90% of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois premiums. BCBS offers employees three choices for health benefits: PPO Plus, HMO Illinois & HMO Blue Advantage.

Komet of America provides BCBS PPO Plus for field employees throughout the United States.

dental insurance
Komet of America provides and pays 90% of Delta Dental Plan of Illinois premiums. Delta Dental offers employees two choices for dental insurance: Delta Managed Care Plan and Preferred Option USA.

life Insurance
Komet of America offers all employees life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance at no cost to the employees.

short/long term disability
Komet of America offers all employees short/long term insurance at no cost to employees.

401(k)
Komet of America provides a 401(k) investment plans through Manulife. Employees who elect to participate receive a 33.3% employer match of up to 6% of their contribution. The employer match is 100% vested and deposited into employees accounts each pay period.

paid vacation and personal time
Komet of America offers 1 week after 6 months of service and 1 week after 1 year of service, 2 weeks at the start of the following calendar year, 3 weeks after 3 years of service and 4 weeks after 10 years of service.

Hourly and non-exempt employees receive 3 personal days per year. 

tuition reimbursement
Komet of America encourages occupational development. Komet of America will reimburse 50% of tuition and books for an "A", "B" or "C" or pass/fail course for job-related, pre-approved courses.

stock options
Komet of America is a privately held company with a board of directors in Besigheim, Germany therefore no stock options are available to employees.

employee assistance program
Free, confidential counseling and referral services are available to all employees and their immediate family members for a variety of personal issues.

employee referral program
 When an employees refers a qualified candidate to Komet of America and that person is hired and passes their probationary period, (typically 60 days) the referring employee receives a $1,000.00 bonus.

coffee and tea
 Free coffee and tea during break and lunch times.

holiday and summer luncheon
 Komet of America sponsors an annual holiday and summer luncheon for employees.

work shirts
Komet of America will subsidize 50% of the cost of the production employee uniform programs.  Participation is voluntary.

paid clean-up time
 Komet of America offers paid personal 5 minute clean up prior to lunch break and at the end of the shift.

flexible spending/dependent daycare account
Use this voluntary benefit to set aside tax free dollars to pay for certain kinds of medical, dental and daycare expenses that insurance doesn't cover.

Aflac® supplemental disability benefits
Voluntary supplemental disability protection is available for employees to purchase at group rates.
