KOMET SERVICE: A "Magical Moment" for Integrity Saw & Tool

When addressing the attendees at their KOMET SERVICE® Grand Opening, Paul Reetz, Owner and President of Integrity Saw &Tool took a walk down memory lane, and described five magical moments that have taken the company to where it is today. The crowning achievement was Integrity’s joining of the KOMET SERVICE network.

Chicago, July 29, 2013 – In a sometimes touching, often funny, but always humble way, Reetz took the 125 attendees through the recent history of Integrity Saw & Tool. He described his experience from the time that he met Rick Mand, then owner and now semi-retired employee for a job interview in the fall of 2000; through the first discussions about Rick wanting to sell the company in 2007; through the experience of being turned down by 8 different banks while trying to get a loan to purchase the business; and the final deal which happened two years later with the help of the First National Bank-Fox Valley and the Fond du Lac Economic Development Corporation; to his first meeting with Thomas Whennen, Manager, KOMET SERVICE. He claimed that, within two hours, they had a mutual understanding that this opportunity was a great fit for both parties. “We are at the verge of history!” he concluded, thanking the Integrity team for their hard work and dedication over the years and asking them for their help in taking the company to the next level with this new partnership.

Specializing in the re-grinding and manufacturing of solid carbide tools, Integrity Saw &Tool can indeed rely on a seasoned team of qualified technicians, many of them counting upwards of 25 years with the company. They couple that experience and know-how with the most advanced CNC equipment – they currently own 7 grinding centers and have just taken delivery of a new Genius computerized measuring equipment from Zoller – and a philosophy of conducting business ethically and fairly as their name implies. They also manufacture and sharpen saw blades, as well as large industrial knives. As a member of the KOMET SERVICE network, Integrity Saw &Tool will provide re-grinding and re-coating services on tools of the KOMET GROUP and all other brands, new custom-made solid carbide tools, and the complete range of standard drilling, milling, threading and reaming tools from the TOOLlife tool program.

Reetz was not the only eloquent speaker at the ceremony, which was kicked-off by Allen J. Buechel, Fond du Lac County Executive. Buechel was one of the members of the Board of Directors of the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation who approved a loan, making it possible for Paul to conclude the purchase of Integrity Saw & Tool.

Since then, IST has grown from 19 to 30 employees, thus creating 11 new jobs but also supporting the growth of other local businesses that require their services. Buechel concluded by thanking Paul for having such a positive impact on the Fond du Lac community.

Integrity Saw &Tool stands ready to have the same positive impact on the North American network of KOMET SERVICE Partners, providing customers with superior quality re-sharpening, re-coating and manufacturing services.
