Tri-State Tool Grinding Celebrates KOMET SERVICE Partnership with Grand Opening Ceremony

The third KOMET SERVICE® Partner for North America, Tri-State Tool Grinding from Cincinnati, OH is now ready to re-grind and re-coat KOMET tools, as well as tools of all brands under the KOMET SERVICE banner.

Chicago, June 28, 2013 – Family-owned Tri-State Tool Grinding now proudly showcases the KOMET SERVICE banner throughout their facility of Cincinnati, Ohio. They celebrated their joining of the partners’ network with a grand opening ceremony attended by local officials, customers, vendors and business partners; demonstrated their solid carbide tools grinding and manufacturing capabilities through well-attended plant tours; and treated the guests with barbecue from the Montgomery Inn, a local staple.

Founded in 1994, Tri-State Tool Grinding prides itself in offering top quality work, reasonable pricing and on-time delivery to manufacturers in the states of Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. Their customers are mostly active in the automotive and aerospace industries. “Becoming a KOMET SERVICE partner and securing our ISO 9001 certification will help us acquire new, larger customers, and also penetrate the medical industry, especially in Indiana, with the extreme precision of our new computerized measuring and inspection equipment” says Jim Dinkelacker, co-owner of the company with his brother Mike. The company is expecting to receive a brand new Zoller Genius universal tool measuring machine in July and recently acquired a Walter Helitronic Vision tool grinder, which complement its 5 CNC grinding centers and various other equipment.

This new partnership will provide significant benefits to customers in the tri-state area including:

  • Access to KOMET-quality solid carbide drills, end-mills and milling cutters (standards and specials)
  • Access to professional re-grinding and original re-coating ensuring that KOMET tools retain their original geometry and design and do not become commoditized after being sharpened
  • Quick turnaround and technical support from a local partner
  • Pickup and delivery services

Five of Tri-State Tool Grinding’s technician underwent a week-long training and got awarded their certificates during the ceremony - they are now certified by KOMET SERVICE for the processing and manufacture of KOMET tools and have access to KOMET’s drawings and processes.

Tony Rosiello, Trustee with Green Township, OH congratulated the company on its achievement and expressed the region officials’ pride of seeing a local, family-owned business align itself with a global technology leader and their confidence in the positive impact such initiatives have on the local economy.

Tri-State’s 150-miles radius territory is bordered by the following cities, clockwise from the North: Dayton and Columbus, OH, Marietta and Charleston, WV, Lexington and Louisville, KY, and Bloomington and Indianapolis, IN.
